Spectatorium was created for the Bouwhouse event at the RAC Hallen in The Hague.

As part of November media month Macular was invited to create an installation in one of the provided sea-containers. By closing up the entrance to the container it is turned into an audiovisual peep-show. On the inside a live recorded abstract film is projected on a multi-layered screen. The film is a tightly integrated audiovisual experience where the sound is a direct result of the image. The specific setup of the installation asks for the visitor’s maximum concentration. Feelings of synesthesia and loss of depth perception are a common occurrence.
