Change_Sound_Reaction1.2 is a multiple screen video installation developed for the E-Pulse Festival 2009.

Sound is an ephemeral phenomenon, which only exists for a very short moment in space and time. At the place where air molecules are pushed together by some sound-producing force, we can say that sound exists. The aim of this interactive video installation is to make the environmental sound of a space visible. This is done by registering the sound in the visual domain as well as in the time domain. Several microphones placed at different locations in space pick up the surrounding sounds. These sounds are analysed and translated into a graphical environment where time is an streched entity. Over time the history of the sound in the space is recorded and shown in combination with the current input.
